Pinterest led me to a blog that led me to another blog, which led me to this photo on a third blog. The story that accompanied the photo stopped me. The story about a mother's love for her child. I continued to read. Then this. My heart crumbled. Tears fell ... and fell some more. Then I went to check on my children sleeping. I caressed my 1-year-old's fuzzy curls. I kissed my 4-year-old on the head and pulled up his covers.
I thought of this mother holding her child and thanked her for the gift she unknowingly gave me this evening. The gift to remember: slow down, appreciate and give thanks for every single moment with my children.
