Hello! I realize it's been way too long since I've posted. Summer has been on fast forward at our home. The boys wake with the rising sun and they’re off. Pow! Toy cars, flying pancakes (something about a flying saucer), dress up (a ninja, Spiderman and a horse so far), drawing, cooking, riding bikes, camp outs and star gazing … But, the highlights? I saw my 4-year old swim for the first time. The joy and pride in his face – I’ll never forget it! And, the baby. I snapped this photo of him just as he pulled himself up for the first time. Beaming!
We also ventured out to some new and wondrous places this summer: A wedding took us to Santa Barbara. We rode bikes, watched sailboats and wondered about this charming city. My husband and I also celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary in Seattle. We visited the Space Needle and pondered the enormity of Mount Rainier in the distance. I discovered yellow raspberries and oodles of blooming Peonies in every color (my favorites). I also stumbled upon the original Starbucks! Yay!
It’s been fun, exhausting, exciting, crazy! But, I’ve cherished every moment. Our new school year is just around the corner and my work schedule will settle back into place. So, I’m holding onto these last few weeks and soaking up a little more sunshine from my guys. Hope you're enjoying a glorious, adventure-filled summer, too.
